How does it feel from a woman's perspective to know that your gender has done very little in history?

In all honesty I had trouble thinking of ten women who changed the world significantly. Men on the other hand have been behind every bit of progress in human history. While some men have been bad (Hitler, Stalin, etc.) the world has progressed over time so there has been more good than bad. Please don't cite people who did little like Clara Barton who probably is just made up anyway. It is quite clear that all of the top politicians, musicians, artists, social activists, athletes, chefs, even laundry cleaners have been men. How can women say they are equal?

I agree fully. The only thing that women can possibly say they are better at is cooking, and what do you need to cook? exactly. Fire, which was invented by men.

Women are even responsible for bad things in history. Who gave birth to Hitler? Precicely, a woman

I guess you don't consider the fact that history is written by the victors and men have been the so-called leaders of countries for centuries. There have been many women who have done much for history, but we do so from the shadows. You know the quote %26quot;For every great man in the spotlight, there is a greater woman in shadows%26quot;? Men like to brag about their accomplishments, women do what needs to be done to keep the 'home fire burning' so men have good things to come home to.

Before you start spouting off that men are better, try checking out these websites: http://womenshistory.about.com/od/biogra鈥?/a> http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/100impor鈥?/a> http://teacher.scholastic.com/activities鈥?/a> and http://teacher.scholastic.com/activities鈥?/a>

After reading all this, come back and say women have done very little in history...
The man is keepin' us down! I don't 'feel' any sort of way about what my gender has or has not done in the past. Just because a man invented the light bulb doesn't make you less of a piece of shiit. What have you accomplished lately?
From the beginning of time I do believe it has been women who birth all of you hero's. The history you speak of must not include any of the queen's that rule/ruled. Don't deny the fact that behind every great man, there is a woman. Wondering your age, I know that women possess a power that has ruled over men and can either promote them to greatness or bring them to their knees. I don't think women being equal to a man is the issue, maybe equal pay for equal work, equal rights and so on. Both men and women are needed to reproduce, the most important thing to keep our species going. Try to see value in both genders and don't gloat too much for being the stronger gender who has tried to repress women's rights and underestimate women's abilities. If you do some more research I'm sure you can find many more contributions by women if the act of mothering all men and giving them life and opportunity isn't enough.
Did a woman bear you, or were you hatched?
Women, have only been treated with a serious lack of respect since the 18th century - the industrial Revolution. Before that everyone was equal, as the males did not go out to work, everyone worked as equals in the house.

Women are on their way to being equal now. Although I doubt that will happen for a long time, as, even though women are meant have been treated with equal rights for years now, the males are still at the top of companies and the countries.
